Summary: "Cheaply made"

After only a few minutes into assembling the mobile per the instructions I managed to break one of the over hanging arches that holds the cards. While trying to insert the lower hanging arch into the hole specified in the top arch it broke in half. Also, it was impossible to attach the cards to the little nodules on the arches without tearing them because the nodules were too big for the holes in the cards or visa-versa. Overall the attach points / integration points that hold this mobile together were not correctly sized. Seems like the manufacturer made the pieces but never tested to see if the pieces actually fit together.

Summary: "My twins love it!"

Having twins, I've found that items that will interest both babies are rare. This mobile is wonderful. I'm actually buying more to have one above the changing table, the pack and play, and the cribs. As soon as I lay my little girl beneath it on the changing table she flirts and squeals at the whatever pictures are up there. My son just smiles as if the images are old friends he's been missing. Honestly, when I opened the box I was disappointed at the plastic tabs but now that I get to see my babies light up when they look at it I don't care the enjoyment they get supersedes it all.

Summary: "A totally entertaining mobile!"

My son adores his mobile. He chats with it pretty much every night and every morning. Honestly, it is very simple and I am amazed that he likes it so much. I would not have purchased it unless a friend had recommended it so highly. And I am so glad I listened to her! The simple shapes and colors are apparently very appealing and engaging, judging from how much my son loves to chat it up.

Okay, yes, this mobile is not made out of the most durable materials (as other reviewers have noted). I don't find this to be a problem, however, because I don't want my kid to touch it! A crib mobile should be out of reach of babies. I just use some care when changing the cards and have not had any problems with them tearing.

Summary: "Happy Baby"

The Infant Slim Mobile is a great product. I watch my baby grandson during the day while his parents work and I had been searching for something to put on his crib for him to interact with. He lays in his crib"talking" to this mobile and just staring at it. His little legs and arms moving continuously. I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend it for any new parent OR grand parent.

Summary: "Baby loves it"

I wasn't sure about this mobile at first since it doesn't move and it's just a bunch of abstract and simple pictures dangling above the baby, but I needed something to distract my 2 month old daughter at the changing table without having to buy another fancy mobile. At first glance, my baby took to it right away. I don't know why these images attract babies but it does. This has become one of my 2 month old daughter's favorite toy. She loves talking to it...so much so that sometimes I'm reluctant to move her out of the changing table.

The stem is made of plastic that comes in two parts which you snap together and once attached you cannot take it apart. The cards are plastic and reminds me a bit of plastic poker cards. Some of the cards have images like a car, house, cat, and dog, but most have abstract images that comes in bold colors or black and white. Taking the cards apart from each other can be tricky and I can see why some people can accidentally rip it apart. I've found that if you fold the cards so they lay flat against each other and then wiggle/twist the area where they are attached they usually slide apart. So the parts are not exactly sturdy and once my baby can reach it, I'll remove it and just use the cards as flash cards.

The mobile comes with several sets of cards so you can change the images and the baby won't be bored. However, I just put the images I like on the mobile and use the rest as flash cards when traveling to distract my little girl.

For the price and the entertainment it has brought to my baby, I highly recommend this mobile.
